The laboratory is equipped with advanced digital computerized imaging equipment to include the Foster & Freeman Video Spectral Comparator which can differentiate ink. The first display is of a document where the numbers have been obliterated. The same document displayed on the right is a document that is examined with the Foster & Freeman Video Spectral Comparator which reveals the obliterated numerals.
Questioned documents can be examined to determine the relative age of ink and to read indentations that may reveal writings that are invisible to the unaided eye. Rosemarie is also certified in the analysis and comparison of latent fingerprints and can retrieve fingerprints from paper utilizing high intensity light, chemical and powder techniques. Our laboratory can process questioned documents for DNA analysis.
